Or should I say call him? Barack Obama, that is. OK, I know that not that many people call him that, but based on this little noted item from the Liberal Death Star (the New York Times) regarding He Who Walks on Water and his wayward youth:

“Mr. Obama had written in his first book, “Dreams From My Father” (1995), before entering politics, that he had used marijuana and cocaine (“maybe a little blow”). He said he had not tried heroin because he did not like the pusher who was trying to sell it to him.
In an interview here on Monday conducted by David Remnick, editor of The New Yorker, at a meeting of the American Society of Magazine Editors, Mr. Obama said he was not making light of the subject.
“It was reflective of the struggles and confusion of a teenage boy,” he said. “Teenage boys are frequently confused.”

Yes, in my experience, but most of the confusion surrounds issues like choosing a college, or in a more unfortunate case, whether to try to get your older brother to buy you a six pack. Why in the world would the smartest man to ever walk the planet write something like this unnecessary, and yes, trivializing admission? Is this some sort of attempt to bolster his street cred, yet another example of his desperate need to be all things to all people? A pitch for the junkie vote? “Sure, I’m strait-laced now, but I’m still street. After all, I came this close to riding the White Horse, and ending up strung out in the gutter.” The cult of Obama can spin this remark as yet more evidence of his “diverse” background, but to me it just sounds cavalier, and given the subject, repellant.

Perhaps if his father had been around he wouldn’t have been so confused, a fact conveniently never mentioned by any of the fawning MSM types who worship the ground he walks on. Oh, wait … was mentioning that insensitive?
