I was very sad to learn about 15 minutes ago of the passing of Congressman Henry Hyde. As you know, he understood that a government that fails to protect the most vulnerable in society, the innocent, the helpless and the voiceless, is no government at all, but rather a worthless, greedy bureaucracy. He reminded us of one of most important values: the preciousness of every individual human life.
He will be missed.
